In Lemaitre's essay, he mentions that that only 200 bound copies of Les Journaux Des Dieux were delivered for distribution because there were insufficent funds to pay him - "which of course makes the saved volumes extremely valuable." The books as well as prints and printed plates depicted in this exhibition consisted of 'Les Journal des Dieux' [The God's Diaries], 'Initiation a la haute volupte' [Initiation to High Voluptuousness], and 'Jonas.' -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

Scope and Contents Wolman invented "Scotch Art" and the Sackner Archive has one such example. It consisted of sticking Scotch tape onto printed matter such as posters, magazine pages, newspapers and pamphlets, and, placing them in water so that the cellulose support of the paper dissolved, leaving the image on the surface of the tape. This was then first repostioned on thin pieces of wood and later on a cavas support on a stretcher. The Sackners met Wolman in his apartment in Paris in 1982. Adrian Dannatt who wrote his obituary for the London newspaper, The Independent, characterizes his life well. Gil Joseph (Gil J. Isidore Isou contributes an essay written in 1968 which includes an "Introduction au Lettrisme," "La Photographie Ciselante," "La Photographie Lettriste et Hypergraphique," "La Photographie Supertemporelle," and "L'Avenir de la Photographie." The photographs mainly depict images captured by the camera from life or collage and subsequently treated with paint, ink, and/or scratched additions to the negative or the photograph itself.
